The Long Island Nets erased a 14-point 4th-quarter deficit Friday to beat the Greensboro Swarm at The Fieldhouse in Greensboro, N.C., 118-114. Jordan McLaughlin (6'1''-G-96, college: USC) on Friday knocked down a 10-footer off the glass with 1:54 remaining to cap a big fourth-quarter comeback by the Long Island Nets in a 118-114 NBA G League win over the Greensboro Swarm at The Fieldhouse in Greensboro, N.C. The win completed a home-and-home sweep of the Swarm by the Nets, who won at Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday night, 129-118. Long Island (7-2) trailed by 14 points early in the fourth quarter before chipping away at the deficit. Brooklyn Nets first-round pick Dzanan Musa (6'7''-SG-99, agency: BeoBasket), on assignment with the team's G League affiliate, tied the game with 2:34 remaining with a 3-pointer from above the break. After Greensboro (4-6) missed on the other end, McLaughlin gave the Nets their first lead since early in the second half. Long Island shot 41.9 percent on the night (44-for-105) and was 11-for-45 (24.4 percent) from 3-point range. But they out-rebounded the Swarm 61-46, with 22 offensive rebounds. Greensboro shot 45.9 percent (45.9 percent) and made 8-of-22 from deep (36.4 percent). The Nets had an 18-16 edge in points off turnovers in the game. McLaughlin, making his second G League start, had a team-high 24 points for Long Island to go with seven assists and five steals. He was 10-for-22 overall, but a perfect 8-for-8 inside the arc. He was just 2-for-14 from 3-point range. Musa added 23 points, going 7-for-19 overall and 3-of-10 from deep, but was 6-for-6 at the foul line. Alan Williams went for 20 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots and Drew Gordon (6'9''-F-90, college: N.Mexico) had 11 rebounds off the bench. Joe Chealey (6'3''-G-95, college: Charleston) led Greensboro with 28 points and had six assists. Jaylen Barford added 21 points off the bench. Chinanu Onuaku finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks and Zach Smith also logged two blocked shots. Williams is with Long Island currently while on a two-way contract with Brooklyn and shot 8-for-16 and made his lone 3-point attempt. The Nets' other two-way player, Theophilus Pinson Jr. (6'6''-F-95, college: N.Carolina), finished with 16 points on 5-of-17 shooting, going 3-of-10 from long range.

Chris Boucher(6'10''-C/F-93, college: Oregon) is an athletic, skilled big man that has an intriguing set of skills that could allow him to be a solid pick for an NBA team in the upcoming draft. He possesses fairly good scoring skills. Boucher really excels at scoring on the move, as he can garner the bulk of his scores using off-ball movement. He plays far above the rim, which can allow him to throw down numerous dunks in games. It's easy enough to see why Boucher is able to block so m...   [read more]
