Kenny Boynton (6'2''-PG-91, college: Florida, agency: Higher Vision Sports) is one of the most explosive players who is playing overseas. A grinder on defense who excels in a fast-tempo style of play. Can play both guard positions but better suited at point guard. Shoots consistently 40% or better on long ball and has mentality to be Euroleague/NBA player. Now, he is ready for the next step his career. He sat down with us to talk about his career and future.

You have played in Five countries with different cultures - France, Israel, Russia, Turkey and China. How did those experiences help you grow as a person?
I think these experiences in these different countries has help me learn myself in a big way. I have found a hobby in watching different tv shows or movies I never thought I would watch mostly comedy movies. It's help me learn to do more things on my own such as cooking which I've recently learned to do and enjoy.

How would you describe your transition to Europe?
My transition to Europe was rocky at first. I was a natural scorer all my life and played mostly the 2 position. I change my position to point guard once I got to Europe because i knew at my size that's what I had to play here. At first I struggled with the balance of scoring myself and getting everyone the ball equally and keeping everyone happy but with time I got better and now I feel like at any level I can play the point guard position anywhere.

What do you feel are your biggest strengths as a player and What part of your game have you worked hardest on to improve - something that may have been a weakness and that now you consider a strength?
My biggest strength as a player is for sure my scoring I can score in every way one on one situations or pick in roll. The biggest part of my game I have worked on is my mid range game trying to make it more consistent and finishing at the rim with my left hand which was always a weak point in my game. I think over the years what I have worked on and seen improvements in is my pick and roll game I now think I have mastered it in a way that if I'm not scoring I'm finding either the big for a easy lay up or one of my shooters wide open shots when the defense makes any mistakes.

What's the main thing you want to add to your game?
I want to add to my game is for sure a consistent mid range jumper my 3 ball is pretty good as I have shot over 40% every year. I have been overseas so I think once I add a consistent mid range jumper it will really be hard for defenders to guard me.

Who's been the biggest influence on your basketball career?
My dad, he put the basketball in my hand and since then I've done the rest. We talk everyday he watches my games overseas and after the game we talk about the games positives and negatives.

Where do you see yourself 3 years from now?
I see myself still in the CBA which is where I'm at now or in the NBA either or.

What are your expectations for next season?
My expectations next season is to win a championship here in China. I set a goal out to get to the NBA or CBA once I first came to Europe and now I have made it to one of my goals. I think winning a championship here will for sure put me in a position to accomplish my second goal which has always been the NBA.
