Jarelle Reischel (6'7''-F-92, college: E.Kentucky) was one of the pleasant surprises in the PRO A where he averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Reischel is a very athletic forward with top notch physical tools able to score from a number of places on the floor. He also is a good defensive player that can guard multiple positions. Jarelle, thanks for talking to eurobasket.com

It seems like the fans in Karlsruhe love you. How nice is it to be a fan favorite?
It was a great time playing in front of our fans who been loyal and supportive throughout wins and loses. Without them we wouldn't have such a deep run in the playoffs, they were our six man.

How would you describe your roots and decision to attend E. Kentucky?
It was a no brainer after Dan McHale got the head coaching job at EKU, He recruited me as an assistant at Seton Hall when I was still in high school. Along with him Reece Gaines and Michael Bradley , two former NBA players. Specially with Reece playing my position I could only benefit from their knowledge.

To somebody who hasn't seen you play before, how would you describe your game to them?
I can do a variety of things on the court, wether its pass, score, rebound, defend.. but I ultimately play to win. I'm a guy who loves getting his teammates involved and playing basketball the right way.

How would you describe your transition to Karlsruhe?
My transition was very simple, the organization helped me in any way they could. Therefore there wasn't much to focus on but winning.

You are doing a great job. Did you expect? What is your key?
I worked very hard each year and I knew with the right opportunity I could really help a team. My key is to constantly work and staying level headed, meaning not getting to high or to low.

Who's been the biggest influence on your basketball career?
My parents, who have been supportive since I started playing basketball, as well as my high school coach Nick Catania, who put a lot of time and effort into my skill development. Also Mohamed Gray who also pushes me to become better each season by working with me during the summer.

Where do you see yourself 3 years from now?
3 years from now I see myself playing basketball for a great organization on the highest level possible

What is your goal for the next season?
My goal for next season is to continue to get better and learn from my mistakes this past season. I've been watching a lot of tape and I am attacking those weaknesses during my workout over the summer I also want to help a team have a successful year and reach their goals.

Overall I want to take another step forwards on and off the court .
