The Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, have traded the returning player rights of Michael Bethea (6'6''-G-95, college: Chico St.) Jr. to the Grand Rapids Drive in exchange for the returning player rights to Marcus Simmons (6'6''-F-88, college: USC, agency: Interperformances). Simmons, 30, played in 25 games with 16 starts in the NBA G League for Grand Rapids Drive last season averaging 4.76 points per game. At University of Southern California (2007-2011) Simmons averaged 3.1 points, 2 rebounds, 0.9 assists in 105 games (46 starts) in four years and was the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year and made the All-Defensive Team. Undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft, he played internationally, being featured with the Yokohama B-Corsairs (2011-12) of the Japanese BJ League, and the Phoenix Fuel Masters (2016-17) of the Philippine Basketball Association.

Coaches and players say they hate 'excuses', but today's were legitimate: -No Chris Boucher, Jordan Loyd, or Malachi Richardson. -6 games in 10 nights. -8 active players. -Delaware coming off a week of rest. Raptors 905 Head Coach Jama Mahlalela outlined all of the above in the pregame media scrum, and...   [read more]
