Warren Davis and the Tampa Bay Windjammers have been added to the 2016 NABL schedule and will be added to the Eastern Division which include Music City, Atlanta, Savannah, Bradenton, and Florida. 'We needed another team in the east as it was unfortunate that the team in Mississippi was having trouble with their venue' said Co-Owner of the NABL Benjamin Mireles. 'Mr. Davis and his organization stepped in to keep our schedules adaquate and without having to make any significant changes'. You may have heard of the Windjammers before as they were in another league years ago and were also located in Tampa. While Mr. Davis was looking for leagues to play in, he ran into the team name and called the original owner to gain permission to use the name and logo once again. He was granted the opportunity and now looks to bring minor-league professional basketball to the Tampa Bay area once again. 'We have a lot of players here who deserve an opportunity and I feel like this would be a great platform after learning the standards of which this league uphold' said Tampa owner Warren Davis. 'I believe this could be a really good opportunity for our city and our community while being able to bring high level competitive and professional basketball to the area'. The Windjammers begin play May 7th in Tampa. To contact the team:
