BIG CHANGE COMING FOR LAKERS TEAM NAME AND ADDITIONS TO ORGANIZATION:::: The team takes pride in being professional at all times and represents honesty, integrity, professionalism, and respect to the industry and throughout its organization. The team will be changing the team name back as It has announced it will go back to its original name of the Spartans and look to play at either the RDV Sports Complex (Old Orlando Magic Practice Facility) or the Goldenrod Orlando Magic Center for the 2016 season. The Spartans organization will look to open a brand new Pool Hall and Game Room ready to open in January or February of 2016 as well as look into building its own facility for the 2017 season. (Locations are to be determined) LOOKING TO FILL POSITIONS< RADIO, MEDIA GROUP, GAME ROOM ATTENDANT, AND MUCH MORE>>>>
The CEO has this to say about this situation:
"We owe it to our players, fans, and organization who are the most important when it comes to our direction, professionalism and honesty and as to what the players come here for. With the name of our team changing, it does not change who we are and what we represent. We changed our name originally to the Lakers because of our agreement with the facility as they requested and showed that when we say we are going to do something, we are going to do it. After 4 months of negotiation, meetings, and traveling to Daytona, we were unfortunately unable to fulfill this agreement and now must move forward to keep our word and to help our players as we have done. And now since we are moving back to our home and playing at another venue in Orlando Florida, we felt that our team needed to go back to what we started with 3 years ago as we have many fans here and have everything our players need right here".
The team was going to move to Daytona Beach in the hopes of taking the team towards the beach and building more relationships in the area. It was unfortunate though that most recently the team announced that the original agreement with the facility was not upheld, as the venue wanted more than what they were willing to give with possibly knowing what the team could bring to the table. CEO Benjamin Mireles was very upset leaving no choice but to say "NO THANK YOU" to the deal they were offered and continue to give their players what they came here to do. A TRAINING AND PRACTICE FACILITY. The team will have their LAST TRYOUT at DME Academy Sports Complex in Daytona Beach on December 6 from 1pm-5pm.
