At a packed and lively Young Center on Friday night, the Cary Invasion (12-1) beat the CBL South Division representative the Florida Flight (Orlando) by a score of 131-101 to win the Continental Basketball League Championship. The Invasion jumped out to an early lead of over 20 points in the first half and led by 15 points at halftime. The Flight cut the lead to 11 points in the 3rd quarter, but the Invasion never trailed in the game, and the game was never really in doubt.
