Kentucky Flash win MSBA debut

The first regular season game in Mid-South Basketball Association was contested March 9 in LaGrange, Kentucky. In a thriller, the host Kentucky Flash defeated the St. Louis Trotters 112-103.

Tevin Andrews (6'6''-F, college: Apprentice) led all scorers with 31 points. Teammate Stuart Jackson (6'6''-SF, college: Union, KY) posted a double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Jalen Coates (5'9''-PG, college: Campbellsville) scored 16 for the Flash while LaVone Holland II (6'3''-G-94, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Court Side) and Leonard Macon (6'7''-F-91) each added 12.

The Trotters were led by Milan Pepper (6'2''-G-80, college: Harris-Stowe St.) with 28 points. Lonnell Johnson (6'2''-G) scored 25 with eight rebounds and five steals and Nicholas Reed (6'3''-G, college: Forest Park CC) posted 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Kentucky Flash (1-0) are back in action this Saturday hosting the Tennessee Sting. Game time at La Grange Community Center is scheduled for 4 PM.
