Dabriawn
Johnson
The Chicago Knights knew heading into this game that they would need to close out the series at home otherwise face a game 3 back in Green Bay. Dabriawn Johnson (6'1''-PG, college: N.Mexico Highlands) (Knights) was a game time decision due to vehicle accident the night before but still managed to compete. As tipoff took place the Game Changers jumped out on the Knights early with James Devault setting the tone before the Knights found their idenity through Johnson as they started to cruise from that point headed into the half leading 68-58. Despite only scoring 12 points in the first two periods Steven Baker (Game Changers) came out on a mission scoring 16pts with ease to end the 3rd period to put his team in a position to comeback. The Game Changers found life in the 4th as Jonathan Braeger got going from beyond the arc cutting the Knights lead down to 2pts before Johnson entered back into the game to finish the Game Changers off by breaking down the defense finding his guys open for key shots on their way to a 127-116 victory to claim the 2017 Branding League Championship.

Isaac White headed to Eagan - 1 month ago
The Midwest Basketball League is starting to gain momentum during the offseason with a lot of activity among teams taking place. What could possibly be the biggest news so far is Dunk Kingz star Issac White will be making his way to Minnesota to play with The Eagan Bulldogs. Look for business to pick up in the Twin Cities as this high flyer will be looking to put on a show in many ways without just flying through the air. White has developed more than just a dunker, but can also dial it u...   [read more]

Gaston Diedhiou (6'10''-F-93) - yes, that Gaston Diedhiou - is a basketball champion. The recent Golden Gophers graduate scored 11 points in the Midwest Basketball League final Sunday afternoon to help his TC Elite squad win a nailbiter 106-104 over the Fort Wayne Vision at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn. Diedhiou, who finished a four-year Gophers career over the winter, landed with the Elite thanks to current teammate Elijah Sabah, a Twin Cities native who was good friends w...   [read more]

The stage is set for the 2018 MBL Championship - 6 months ago
The Ft Wayne Vision will be headed into this game representing the State Of Indiana. They made it this far by knocking off the Knights and Lakers in back to back days. Last season the Vision had to go against Cedar Valley now it's a team that can get out and run the floor from start to finish as well. Look for Reggie Lytle (6'2''-G-91, college: MCC-Penn Valley), Crews, Antonio Cannon (6'0''-PG-92, college: Indiana Tech) and Wilson to try and get going early. The TC Elite will be looking...   [read more]
