Saskatchewan Rattlers sign Maurice Jones

Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL) signed 27-year old American guard Maurice Jones (170-155kg-91, college: Northwood). He will still stay in Canada where he played last season at Sudbury Five in Canadian NBL. In 15 NBL Canada games he had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.5apg and 2.2spg. CEBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Jones also played for St. John's Edge that season. In 20 NBL Canada games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 6.5apg (top 2) and 1.9spg (in top 2).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the NBL Canada Semifinals in 2017. Jones was also voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada Rookie of the Year in 2017.
He has played previously for Canadian team Windsor Express.
Jones attended Northwood University until 2016 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
He could be described: A lightning quick point guard that can lead a team and shoot and score from all over the court. He is known for making teammates better and improving any team he plays for. Competes extremely hard on defense and is known for creating steals and starting the fast break, devastating in transition.
