Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL) landed 28-year old Lebanese international power forward Ali Haidar (203-109kg-90, college: Michigan Tech). The last season he played at Beirut Club (also in LBL) where in 30 games he averaged impressive 17.9ppg, 8.8rpg (#5 in the league), 1.9apg, 1.3spg and 1.1bpg. Haidar helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year and Center of the Year.
Among other achievements Haidar won Lebanese League championship title in 2014, 2016 and 2017. He received also All-GLIAC Player of the Year award back in 2012 and 2013 at his college time.
Haidar played at the Arab Club Championships Finalist last year.
He has played previously professionally also in Slovenia (Sencur Gorenjska gradbena druzba Kranj).
Haidar attended Michigan Technological University until 2013 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
