Minnesota West Community & Technical College clinched NJCAA DIII National title. They overcame Anoka-Ramsey Community College 51-41 in the Final. Payton Riemers (G) stepped up with game-high 24 points to lead the champions. Katrina Schutz (F) was helpful with 11 points and 20 boards to dominate the paint.
Minnesota West Community & Technical College dominated defensively in the first half. They held their opponents to just 14 points to pile up a 12-point halftime lead. The Ladyjays stretched the margin at 14-point mark heading into the fourth frame. They stayed in charge throughout the final term and rallied to the win.
Mariam Alowonle (6'0''-C) and Tereya McDanie-Vaughn produced 15 points each for Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
