Best performed former Mt. San Antonio College players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Mounties alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Garrett Nevels (6'2''-G-92, played in 2011-13, plays pro in Spain) was the major contributor in a Delteco Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian's victory against the 12th-ranked Blusens Monbus (11-17) 85-72 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. Delteco Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian (8-20) is placed second from the bottom (#17) in the Liga Endesa. Nevels has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 29 games he played so far.

   #2. Darnell Martin (6'6''-PF-91, played in 2012-13, plays in Japan) could not help one of league's weakest teams Saitama Broncos (3-7) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Martin's very good performance the bottom-ranked Saitama Broncos were edged 87-84 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Kagoshima (#6). He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and making 11 passes. Martin also added 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Martin's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Martin averages 17.9ppg, 11.1rpg, 4.4apg and 1.8spg.

   #3. Corey Allen (6'1''-PG-92, graduated '15, currently in Belgium) led Stella Artois Leuven Bears to a victory against the league outsider Liege Basket (6-24) 82-76 in the Belgian Euromillions League in Sunday night's game. Allen scored 15 points and added 3 passes in 28 minutes. Stella Artois Leuven Bears (8-23) is placed second from the bottom (#9) in the Euromillions League. This year Allen averages 7.6ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4spg in 11 games.

   #4. Shannon Fowler (6'8''-F-93, played in 2014-15, plays pro in Belize) contributed to a 2-point Smart Belize Hurricanes' victory against the league leader Verdes (10-2) 78-76 in the Belizean NEBL last Friday. Fowler recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Smart Belize Hurricanes (6-6) is placed fourth in the NEBL. Fowler has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.1apg.
