Best performed former Cuesta College players in pro basketball in last week games

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Vasil Bachev (6'5''-SG-92, graduated '13, plays pro in Bulgaria) led Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv to a victory over the league outsider Cherno More (2-14) 92-80 in the Bulgarian NBL last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Bachev scored 19 points, had 6 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 4 balls in 35 minutes. Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv (8-8) is placed fifth in the NBL. The Regular Season already ended. It's Bachev's fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Bachev averages 20.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.9spg in 16 games he played so far.

   #2. Frank Muller (6'5''-F/C-88, graduated '09, plays in Luxembourg) was the main contributor in T71's victory against the sixth-ranked Sparta (7-12) crushing them 119-94 in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Muller recorded 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds. T71 Dudelange (13-7) is placed fourth in Places 1-6 group. It's Muller's tenth season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Muller averages 19.4ppg, 11.1rpg and 1.6apg.

   #3. Roberto Mantovani (6'8''-F-94, played in 2015-16, currently in Cyprus), who plays in Cyprus could not help AEK Larnaca (1-5) to beat Banco di Srd (5-1) in the FIBA Europe Cup. He scored 6 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 20 minutes. The fourth-placed AEK Larnaca (1-5) lost 81-93 on the road to the leading Banco di Srd in the group K of FIBA Europe Cup. The Second Stage already ended in the FIBA Europe Cup. It's Mantovani's first season with the team. This year Mantovani averages 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg in six games. He has also Cypriot passport.

   #4. Tom Schumacher (6'3''-PG-87, played in 2008-09, plays pro in Luxembourg) is a teammate of previously mentioned Frank Muller and both played together in the last Luxembourg Total League game. Schumacher contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Sparta (7-12) crushing them 119-94. He recorded 16 points and added 8 assists. It's Schumacher's 16th season with the team. This year Schumacher has very high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.4apg and 1.7spg.

   #5. Ali Ouakkaha (6'2''-G-90, graduated '13, plays in Norway) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Gimle BBK in their game against Kongsberg (20-3) in the Norwegian BLNO. Ouakkaha scored 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 25 minutes. Gimle BBK was edged 81-80 on the opponent's court by the leading Kongsberg. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Ouakkaha averages 6.1ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.9apg and 1.5spg in 20 games.

   #6. Valentin Bauer (6'0''-PG-94, played in 2013-14, currently in Austria) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Timberwolves crushing them 95-60 in the Austrian A Bundesliga in Sunday night's game. He scored 6 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. This season Bauer averages 5.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.0apg and 1.1spg.

   #7. Jeremy Landenbergue (6'3''-PG-93, graduated '13, plays pro in Switzerland) managed to help BBC Monthey in a victory against the league outsider Swiss Central crushing them 104-55 in the Swiss SBL last Tuesday. He scored only 3 points in 18 minutes. This year Landenbergue averages 8.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.0apg in two games.

   #8. Karl Otabor (6'1''-G-90, graduated '13, plays in Norway) was not able to secure a victory for Fyllingen BBK in their game against Ammerud Bskt in the Norwegian BLNO. He scored 9 points and added 4 passes. His team was defeated 101-89. This season Otabor averages 9.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.8apg.

   #9. Jordi Signes Beltri (6'7''-F-98, graduated '17, currently in Spain) couldn't help Barbera in their game against Palma II in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Signes Beltri scored only 2 points in 10 minutes. His team lost 79-87. This year Signes Beltri averages 4.9ppg and 1.8rpg in 13 games.

   #10. Rafael Casanova (6'5''-G/F-93, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Spain) couldn't help Carbajosa (7-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the ninth-placed Carbajosa was defeated 94-82 in Lugo by the higher-ranked Estudiantes Leyma Natura (#5) in the Group A-B. Casanova was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 8 rebounds. This season Casanova has very high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.
