Here is the weekly review of the top performing Thunderbirds alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Nick Waddell (6'7''-C-89, played in 2008-10, plays pro in Uruguay) could not help Atletico Welcome (6-18) in their game last Monday. Despite his very good performance Atletico Welcome was defeated 90-82 in a derby game by the much higher-ranked Defensor (#5). Waddell was the top scorer with 28 points. He also added 3 assists in 41 minutes. Waddell's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Waddell's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Waddell averages 19.8ppg, 6.7rpg and 2.6apg.

#2. Kenrich Williams (6'7''-G-94, played in 2013-14, plays in the NBA) led New Orleans Pelicans to a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves (26-30) 122-117 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Williams scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. The New Orleans Pelicans have 25-32 record this season. This year Williams averages 5.2ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.2apg in 21 games he played so far.

#3. Malique Trent (6'3''-G-94, played in 2014-15, currently in Ukraine) was the major contributor in Zaporizhye's victory against the closely-ranked Mykolaiv (9-10) 88-79 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Saturday. He recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 27 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Trent's first season in pro basketball. BC Zaporizhye-ZOG (14-8) is placed second in the Superleague. It's Trent's first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Trent averages 19.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.0apg and 3.2spg.

#4. Jeff Newberry (6'2''-G-92, played in 2013-14, plays pro in Qatar) led Qatar Sports Club Doha to a victory over the closely-ranked Al Sadd (11-4) 79-68 in a derby game in the Qatari D1 on Saturday night. Newberry was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 10 rebounds. Newberry also added 3 assists and 2 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Qatar Sports Club Doha (12-4) is placed second in the D1. The Regular Season already ended. Newberry has very impressive stats this year 21.7ppg, 7.5rpg, 5.8apg and 1.9spg in 15 games.

#5. Marvin Binney (6'3''-PG-90, played in 2010-11, plays in Canada) was not able to help the Saint John Riptide in their game against the Moncton Magic (17-8) in the NBL Canada. Binney recorded only 4 points in 15 minutes. The Saint John Riptide (#4) was crushed 111-76 on the road by the leading Moncton Magic. This season Binney has very high stats. He averages 21.7ppg, 7.5rpg, 5.8apg and 1.9spg.

#6. Desmond Medder (6'2''-G, played in 2014-15, currently in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked ETV crushing them 93-73 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) last Saturday. Medder scored 13 points. Medder has very impressive stats this year 18.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.0apg in two games.

#7. Desmond Lee (6'4''-G-90, played in 2011-13, plays pro in Canada) contributed to a St. John's Edge's victory against the Cape Breton Highlanders 105-100 in the NBL Canada on Monday night.
