Best performed former Jacksonville College players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Jaguars alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Nimrod Hilliard IV (6'0''-PG-93, played in 2012-13, plays pro in Sweden) led Boras Basket to a victory over the eighth-ranked Umea (9-20) 91-84 in the Swedish Basketligan last Monday. He was MVP of the game. Hilliard IV scored 23 points and added 5 assists in 37 minutes. Boras Basket (21-8) is placed fourth in the Basketligan. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Hilliard IV has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 6.7apg and 1.6spg in 29 games he played so far.

   #2. Johnny Hamilton (7'0''-C-94, played in 2013-15, plays in the NBA G League) was the major contributor in a Grand Rapids Drive's victory against the Windy City Bulls (19-17) crushing them 113-92 in the NBA G League on Saturday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 13 rebounds. Hamilton also added 2 blocks; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. The Grand Rapids Drive has 17-18 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Hamilton has relatively good stats this season 12.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7bpg.

   #3. Nikola Gajic (6'5''-G/F-91, graduated '14, currently in Slovenia), who plays in Slovenia could not help Helios Suns (6-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Helios Suns lost 70-78 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) Sutjeska. Gajic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Liga Nova KBM Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Gajic has relatively good stats this year 12.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7bpg in 35 games. He has also Serbian passport.

   #4. Kiefer Douse (6'3''-G-92, played in 2014-15, plays pro in United Kingdom) managed to help Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders to win against the closely-ranked Plymouth Raiders (10-10) 90-87 in the British BBL last Sunday. Douse scored only 4 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders (14-4) is placed second in the BBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Douse averages 4.8ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.9apg.

   #5. Andre Hughes (6'8''-F-94, played in 2015-16, plays in Iceland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Snaefell (12-8) crushing them 122-36 in the Icelandic D1 (second division) on Friday night. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 13 rebounds. Hughes also added and 3 steals (made all of his eight free throws) in 21 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Hottur Egilsstadir (11-4) is placed second in the D1. Hughes has very impressive stats this year 17.6ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg in five games. He is a naturalized German.

   #6. Ike Agusi (5'11''-PG-95, played in 2015-16, currently in Slovakia), who plays in the Slovakian SBL was not able to help Lucenec (2-23) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Lucenec was crushed 107-83 in Svit by the higher-ranked Iskra (#3). Agusi was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 assists. Agusi has relatively good stats this season 12.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1spg.

   #7. Chris Singhateh (6'5''-F-90, played in 2012-13, plays pro in Sweden) was not able to secure a victory for Umea in their game against KFUM Jamtland in the Swedish Basketligan. Singhateh recorded only 4 points in 14 minutes. His team lost 84-98. This year Singhateh averages 7.1ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg in 29 games.
