Top Paris Junior College alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Dragons alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Kenny Gabriel (6'10''-PF-89, played in 2008-09, plays pro in Turkey). He could not help Turk Telekom (10-7) to beat Besiktas (9-8) in the Turkish BSL. Gabriel scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes. But Turk Telekom was badly defeated 85-67 on the road by the lower-ranked Besiktas (#7). This season Gabriel averages 8.6ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.6apg.

   #2. Shannon Shorter (6'4''-G-89, played in 2008-09, plays in South Korea) led Mobis Phoebus to a victory against the seventh-ranked KCC Egis (20-23) 97-86 in the South Korean KBL in Wednesday night's game. Shorter recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hyundai Mobis Phoebus (33-10) are placed first in the KBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Shorter's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Shorter averages 16.7ppg, 5.3rpg and 3.6apg in 43 games he played so far.

   #3. Del'Vin Dickerson (6'6''-F-93, played in 2013-14, currently in Argentina) led Gimnasia LP to a victory over the sixth-ranked Ciclista (9-13) 91-75 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) last Saturday. Dickerson was MVP of the game. He recorded 31 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Dickerson's first season in pro basketball. Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (8-17) is placed eighth in South - C.South group. It's Dickerson's first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Dickerson averages 16.3ppg and 6.4rpg.

   #4. Jonathon Simmons (6'6''-G-89, played in 2008-09, plays pro in the NBA) managed to help Philadelphia 76ers in a victory against the Los Angeles Lakers (28-28) crushing them 143-120 in the NBA on Sunday night. Simmons scored only 3 points. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 36-20 record this season. Simmons has very impressive stats this year 16.3ppg and 6.4rpg in 24 games.

   #5. Brandon Scott (6'4''-G/F-93, played in 2013-14, plays in Kosovo) was not able to help Prizreni (8-9) in their game last Saturday. Despite Scott's good performance Prizreni was defeated 84-76 at home by the second-ranked Xhebrailat. He scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. Scott has relatively good stats this season 13.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #6. Nouhoum Bocoum (6'10''-F/C-92, played in 2013-14, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) was not able to secure a victory for Aridane (6-12) in their last game. Despite Bocoum's very good performance the 13th-placed Aridane lost 69-79 in Arrecife to the higher-ranked (#8) Lanzarote in the Group B. He was the top scorer with 17 points. Bocoum also added 8 rebounds. Bocoum has very impressive stats this year 16.4ppg, 9.6rpg and 1.7apg in 18 games. He is a naturalized Malian.

   #7. Brandon Hollins (6'6''-F, played in 2014-16, plays pro in Armenia) couldn't help Aragatz (12-6) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Aragatz was defeated 116-109 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Artsakh (#3). Hollins recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points and getting 17 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 40 minutes. This season Hollins has very high stats. He averages 23.8ppg, 11.3rpg and 3.3apg.

Xavier Dupree (6'9''-F-94, played in 2013-15) plays for Sampaense in Portuguese Proliga
Keith Shivers (6'4''-G, played in 2013-15) plays for Prince George Valor in the ABA
Marcus Holt (6'10''-F/C-93, played in 2011-13) plays for Belfast Star in Irish Super League
Bradley Christian (F) plays for Savannah Cavaliers in the NABL
