Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Experienced Joao Paulo Batista (6'9''-C/F-81, played in 2002-03, plays pro in Brazil) could not help Mogi das Cruzes/Helbor (0-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Mogi das Cruzes/Helbor was edged in a double overtime (!!!) 108-106 on the road by the second-ranked Las Animas. Batista was the top scorer with 34 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 43 minutes. So far Mogi das Cruzes/Helbor lost all three games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the Liga Americas. It's Batista's first season with the team. Batista has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.3ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.7apg in three games he played so far.

#2. Francisco Cruz (6'3''-G-89, played in 2009-10, plays in Spain) was not able to help Montakit Fuenlabrada (4-10) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Cruz's very good performance the eighth-placed Montakit Fuenlabrada (4-10) was defeated 85-78 in Panevezys by the higher-ranked Lietkabelis (#5) in the group C of Basketball Champions League. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Cruz also added 4 passes. The Regular Season already ended in the Basketball Champions League. Cruz has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.8apg.

#3. Sebastian Suarez (6'4''-G-91, played in 2011-13, currently in Chile) faced previously mentioned Joao Paulo Batista in the Liga Americas last game. Suarez contributed to a double overtime (!!!) Las Animas' victory against the closely-ranked Mogi (0-3) 108-106. He scored 9 points and had 3 steals in 31 minutes. The Regular Season already ended in the Liga Americas. This year Suarez averages 6.3ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.3spg in three games.

#4. Andrew Ramirez (6'2''-G-97, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Tormes (5-16) in their game against Azpeitia ISB (13-8) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). He was the second best scorer with 8 points. Ramirez also added 6 rebounds. The 12th-placed Tormes (5-16) was crushed 71-40 at home by the much higher-ranked Azpeitia ISB (#3) in the West group. It was Tormes' third consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Ramirez averages 7.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg.
