Top Marshalltown Community College alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Tigers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Will Clyburn (6'7''-SF-90, played in 2008-10, plays pro in Russia) led his Russian team CSKA to a victory against the closely-ranked Lokomotiv (10-5) 70-57 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSKA Moscow (16-1) is placed first in the VTB United League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Clyburn averages 8.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg in 14 games he played so far.

   #2. Luiz Paulo Dos Santos (6'11''-F/C-89, played in 2010-11, plays in Brazil). Dos Santos could not help CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro (5-13) to beat Minas (8-11) in the Brazilian NBB. He scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro was defeated 92-81 on the road by the higher-ranked Minas (#6). It was CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro's third consecutive loss in a row. It's Dos Santos' first season with the team. This year Dos Santos averages 4.8ppg and 4.3rpg.

   #3. Denzel Ubiaro (6'3''-G-97, graduated '16, currently in United Kingdom) contributed to a Plymouth University Raiders' victory against one of league's weakest teams Scorchers (3-15) 112-98 in the British BBL on Sunday night. He recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes. Plymouth University Raiders (10-9) is placed fourth in the BBL. This year Ubiaro averages 6.2ppg and 1.5rpg in 17 games.

   #4. Amir Maddred (6'8''-F/C-95, played in 2014-16, plays pro in Kosovo) managed to help KB Rahoveci to win against the closely-ranked Xhebrailat (12-6) 74-73 in the Kosovan Superliga in Sunday night's game. He scored only 4 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KB Rahoveci (11-6) is placed third in the Superliga. This season Maddred averages 7.6ppg and 4.3rpg.
