LAMELO BALL

Lamelo Ball (196-G-01, agency: Slash Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Los Angeles and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 17-year old guard had the game-high 52 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Los Angeles in his team's victory, helping them to crush Houston (#6, 3-5) with 16-point margin 169-153. It allowed Los Angeles to consolidate first place in the JBA JBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Los Angeles has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Ball has many years of experience at Los Angeles, through which he has constantly improved. Ball has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 40.4ppg and is league's best passer with 10.3apg. Ball is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.4rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg,4.0spg and 50.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Curtis Hollis (198-G/F-98) of Houston. Hollis impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 40 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Houston lost that game 153-169 to the higher-ranked Los Angeles (#1, 6-2). Houston is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Hollis is one of the most experienced players at Houston and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.3ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 11.3rpg and 5.3apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Los Angeles' star - LiAngelo Ball (196-G-98, agency: Slash Sports). Ball got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and twenty assists. He was another key player of Los Angeles, helping his team with a 169-153 easy win against the lower-ranked Houston (#6, 3-5). Los Angeles confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Ball has a great season in JBA. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 51.7ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 14.0rpg (2nd best) and assists with 7.7apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jordon Myers (193-SG-98) of Houston - 33 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Keshaun Mack (193-G) of Los Angeles - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Travis Ingram (190-G) of Chicago - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Isom Butler (191-PG-98) of Atlanta - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. With more than forty-eight years of experience, INTERPERFORMANCES is well known to all professional teams and clubs. General Managers trust and rely on our opinions and recommendations.

Rieger, Lyle step up, lead JBA USA to victory in European finale - 2 months ago
Team JBA USA needed someone to step up when Jordan Ray (191-PG-00) left the game in the second quarter with a wrist injury. Harrison Rieger (193-G/F-98) and Deon Lyle (196-G, college: UTSA) stepped in and helped Team JBA USA to a 115-101 victory on Tuesday night against BCM U Pitesti at Oprea Arena in Pitesti, Romania. The victory is the finale to the European portion of the International Tour. LiAngelo Ball (196-G-98, college: UCLA, agency: Slash Sports) led JBA USA (15-3) with 42 points...   [read more]

Rieger performance not enough as Team JBA USA winning streak ends in Macedonia - 2 months ago
Team JBA USA fell from behind quickly to start the game. Although they made a comeback, the 24 point deficit was too much to overcome. The 12 game winning streak came to an end with a 129-122 loss to Rabotnicki KK on Wednesday evening at the Telecom Arena in Skopje, Macedonia. JBA USA (13-3) fell behind from the start and couldn't get a lead the entire game after trailing 41-17 at the end of the first quarter thanks to 19 three pointers as a team for Rabotnicki. JBA USA chipped away and l...   [read more]

LaMelo Ball is Returning To High School, Plans To Enroll at SPIRE Institute in Ohio - 2 months ago
The Ball family grew into a household name by doing and saying the unexpected. Unconventional move after unconventional move throughout 2017 kept basketball fans on their toes while drawing criticism from others. First it was Lonzo Ball opting to go the independent route by helping launch his family's brand instead of signing a traditional sneaker contract with Nike, adidas or Under Armour. Then it was Lamelo Ball (6'5''-G-01, agency: Slash Sports) withdrawing from Chino Hills HS to be h...   [read more]
