LAMELO BALL

Guard Lamelo Ball (196-G-01, agency: Slash Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Los Angeles, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 17-year old player recorded a triple-double of 48 points adding also 24 rebounds and 14 assists, while his team outclassed Atlanta (#2, 5-2) with 47-point margin 170-123. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Los Angeles to consolidate first place in the JBA JBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Los Angeles has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Ball had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Los Angeles, through which he has constantly improved. Lamelo Ball has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 40.4ppg and is league's best passer with 10.3apg. Ball is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.4rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg,4.0spg and 50.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Los Angeles' star - young LiAngelo Ball (196-G-98, agency: Slash Sports). Ball had a very good evening with a double-double of 54 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Los Angeles cruised to a 130-122 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Chicago (#7, 2-6). Of course Los Angeles still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 6-2 record. Ball is one of the most experienced players at Los Angeles and similarly like Lamelo Ball has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 51.7ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 14.0rpg and 7.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was swingman Curtis Hollis (198-G/F-98) of Houston (#6). Hollis got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for sixteen rebounds . He was a key player of Houston, leading his team to a 111-103 win against slightly lower-ranked Philadelphia (#8, 1-6). The chances of Houston not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hollis could try to bring Houston's a little bit higher in the standings. Hollis has individually a great season in JBA. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.3ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 11.3rpg (7th best) and assists with 5.3apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jordon Myers (193-SG-98) of Houston - 33 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Rieger performance not enough as Team JBA USA winning streak ends in Macedonia - 7 months ago
Team JBA USA fell from behind quickly to start the game. Although they made a comeback, the 24 point deficit was too much to overcome. The 12 game winning streak came to an end with a 129-122 loss to Rabotnicki KK on Wednesday evening at the Telecom Arena in Skopje, Macedonia. JBA USA (13-3) fell behind from the start and couldn't get a lead the entire game after trailing 41-17 at the end of the first quarter thanks to 19 three pointers as a team for Rabotnicki.
