Bosnians in High School in North America!

Emir Krupic: Emir is at Elite Prep Academy in Seattle with his brother Kenan and is playing well. Kenan is on the list of a few D1 college coaches and Emir has raised his profile in the last year. He was with the BiH U16 team this summer before an injury sidelined him, he was performing well as a big trio of Aleska Gataric, Alem Huseinovic and himself. He is young and will have opportunities to prove himself in the next couple of years.

Erwin Gutic: the 6'8' Senior transferred from Florida to Wesley Christian High School in Ky. He's playing better and his team is playing well at 6.4ppg 4.2rbpg 1.2aspg 1.8stls and his team is 14-7 so far. Even though he hasn't put up huge numbers he's playing against quality competition and is getting attention from D1 programs.

Eldar Pazarac: A High School Sr, the 6'6' SG/SF has played well and his team has been very impressive. His team is 7-2 6-0 in conference and according to Max Preps his stats so far are 10.8ppg 5.4aspg 4.2rbpg 2.8stls but Eldar told me that his stats aren't accurate online.

Jakov Kukic: He's missed most of the season but that didn't deter interest in the player as he has committed to UC Santa Barbara and is considered a 3 star recruit by most High School recruiting networks. He's a member of the Croatian National Team program.

Adnan Sarancic: The junior big man was all tournament after averaging 16ppg 6rbpg to begin the season for Warrenville in Illinios. He put up good numbers for his AAU team this summer at 18ppg 8rbs 4aspg 2stls. Warrenville is 5-7 on the season so far but Adnan is the only returning starter and it has taken the team time to jell. He's been an anchor for his team averaging 17ppg 6rbpg 2ass 1stl 1blk while shooting 58% from two, 50% from three and 76% from the FT line.

Alem Huseinovic: He was coming off a very good sophomore season averaging 10.9ppg before exploding with the BiH U16 National Team this summer. It has raised his profile tremendously both inside and outside of the US. He came back even better with his High School team and is averaging 16.7ppg 3.5rbpg 1.1aspg. His team is 13-3 including 2-0 in conference on the season. He's got another year of High School basketball to work on his game and develop his body and his game.

Edin Smjecanin: His game took a big step forward this season after spending the summer playing in BiH. He's averaging 15ppg and 10rbpg after averaging 4ppg 4rbpg last season for his team. The 6'7' big man is more comfortable playing in space and with the ball in his hands and is now seen as more than just a traditional big man for his team. He can play all three positions across the frontline. His team is only 6-10 so far on the season.

McDonald's All American Game: Cole Anthony leads East over the West - 1 month ago
On April 4, Cole Anthony (6'2''-PG-00) will lead Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) into the GEICO Nationals in New York to compete for the national title and he's looking for any competitive edge he can use to accomplish that goal. On Wednesday night he got that mental advantage, scoring 14 points, grabbing five rebounds and handing out seven assists to lead the East past the West 115-100 in the McDonald's All American Game at State Farm Arena. Anthony was named MVP of the game. Pre...   [read more]
