PrimeTime Players Pull Away Late In Win Over Charlotte - Mar 15, 2017

PrimeTime Players traveled to Anson High School to take on the Charlotte Bulls who were hosting their first-ever ECBL home game this past Saturday.

Both teams came out slow in the first period before Charlotte was able to hit four straight three point baskets over the last two minutes of the first quarter to take a 22-18 lead at the end of the quarter. The second quarter the combination of Brian Mobley (6'6''-SF-87, college: Johnson C. Smith) and Chris Moore (6'2''-PG-86, college: Charleston So.) combined for 23 points as it looked as if PrimeTime were about to take control after a 21-5 run put PrimeTime up 51-37 with 50 seconds remaining in the half. Charlotte was able to storm back over the last five minutes going on a 8-0 run to cut the lead to 51-45 at the half.

The second half saw the Bulls came out strong defensively and building an eight point lead behind the outside shooting of AJ Barringer and Melo Hayes who combined for 17 points in the quarter. Chris Moore was able to score 13 points in the quarter to help PrimeTime close the gap to 76-78 going into the fouth quarter.

Victor Street (5'11''-PG-88, college: Erskine) opened the final frame scoring all seven of his points to begin the quarter and also picked up two nice assists to Chris Moore to help regain the lead for the visitors at 91-85. Back-to-back three pointers by Melo Hayes then tied the score at 91 with 6:38 to play. The next two minutes where all PrimeTime as they scored the next 10 points then were able to hold on from the free throw line down the stretch and escape with a 115-105 win.

The East Coast Basketball League closed out the 2018 season with its 4th Annual All-Stars weekend that was held at Ben Lippen HS in Columbia SC this past weekend. PrimeTime Players clinch fourth ECBL title - 28 days ago
PrimeTime Players extended their East Coast Basketball League dominance. They overcame Hickory Hoyas 134:118 in the Final on Saturday to claim the fourth consecutive trophy.
