Chris Schieman Media is excited to announce it will be the official broadcasting provider for the East Coast Basketball League (ECBL) in 2017, for the third consecutive season.

In the Spring and Summer of 2017 the league will broadcast 10 regular season games, plus the ECBL Championship and All Star Game. Chris Schieman Media will broadcast all 10 regular season games as well as the ECBL Championship on June 24. The 2017 ECBL All Star Game will be produced by NetCast Sports.

Calling the action will be broadcasting veteran Chris Schieman. 'It's exciting to be working again with the ECBL,' Schieman said. 'The league has been a very loyal client and I have made upgrades to equipment to ensure this year's broadcasts look great.' The broadcasts will feature high-definition (when available) and an increased emphasis on player information and statistics.

The entire 2017 ECBL Game of the Week schedule:

March 19: North Carolina Coyotes vs Petersburg Cavaliers
March 25: Florence Wildcats at PrimeTime Players
April 1: Savannah Storm at Carolina Crusaders
April 8: Lumberton Showstoppers at Lumberton Showstoppers
April 22: South Carolina All Stars at South Carolina All Stars
April 29: Lumberton Showstoppers at Winston-Salem Certified
May 6: Charlotte Golden Bulls at SC Upstate Redhawks
May 13: Petersburg Cavaliers at Florence Wildcats
May 20: Hampton Roads Warriors at PrimeTime Players
May 27: Carolina Thunder at High Point Hawks
June 24: ECBL Championship at TBD

Each game will be available live and on-demand on the ECBL YouTube. Broadcast dates and teams are subject to change, however each team in the league will have at least one broadcast.

'It's vital for the league to broadcast each team,' Schieman said. 'These broadcasts have led directly to increased sponsorship opportunities, but more importantly, they are helping ECBL players sign pro contracts in other leagues. We want to make sure each player has a showcase game to be seen on the largest video platform in the world, YouTube.'

The ECBL enters its third season as one of the most stable minor leagues in professional basketball. The league returns most teams from last season and has added teams in Lumberton, NC, Charlotte, NC, Greenville, NC, Hampton Roads, VA, Florence, SC and Dillon, SC.

The PrimeTime Players hosted the SC Upstate Redhawks in their first game since their 1st loss of the season against the Carolina Thunder two weeks ago. The Redhawks opened the game quickly taking a early 8 point lead behind 10 first quarter points from perennial ECBL Allstar Octreyvious Roebuck, but over the last two minutes of the quarter the Redhawks were out scored 11-3 with Odell Turner leading the comeback with 8 of those 11pts. The second quarter was the Trey Suttles (6'5''-F, colle...   [read more]

Fayetteville shocks Thunder - 6 days ago
It was an ECBL Southeast matchup few thought much about before gameday. Carolina Thunder was 10-1 and holding the top seed in the Southern Conference. Winners of two in-a-row, which included a victory over the previously undefeated Prime Time Players, the Thunder had already clinched the division title. It was their second division crown in just three ECBL seasons. First year Fayetteville Panthers were the opponent, fighting to get to the .500 mark and second place in the division. Petersburg trailed 48-29 after the first quarter, but limited Augusta to just 19 points in the second, outscoring them by 17. 'They were playing at their tempo, and they hit a lot of threes in the first half,' Dixon said of the opening to the game. Petersb...   [read more]
