Carolina Crusaders traveled to Fort Mill to take on the top seeded PrimeTime Players for the third time this season. PrimeTime were able to sweep the regular season by escaping with a fourth quarter comeback down 21 in April for a 123-116 win then winning in Columbia 123-111 on June 5th. Carolina came into the matchup confident knowing that a few plays where all that separated these two teams from switching positions in the league standings.

Carolina opened the game quickly behind 20 combined points from 2016 ECBL All-Star Melvin Rodgers (6'4''-G-75) and Marcellus Dunn (6'5''-F, college: Claflin) inside, while Jarvis Jackson and Andrae Belton (6'3''-G-86, college: Tennessee St.) bombed three pointers from the outside. PrimeTime fell behind early, but by the end of the first quarter both teams were tied at 33.

2016 Tabetha Berry Memorial MVP Chris Moore (6'2''-PG-86, college: Charleston So.) scored 15 points in the quarter while inside players Pierre Stines (6'9''-PF) and Thomas Pfaff (6'8''-C-87, college: Lipscomb) combined to add another 15.

The second and third quarters saw both teams play even throughout the two quarters with PrimeTime leading 94-93 going into the 4th quarter. Jarvis Jackson started off the fourth quarter for Carolina with back-to-back baskets helping his team to an early five point lead before PrimeTime was able to comeback to tie the score at 102 with nine minutes to go.

After a three-point basket from Brian Mobley (6'6''-SF-87, college: Johnson C. Smith) gave PrimeTime the lead Jarvis Jackson drove the length of the floor and and was injured after hitting the floor when Terrell Smith (6'3''-G-85, college: Limestone) stepped in and took the charge. After a short delay that saw Jackson having to sub out because of a cut, the PrimeTime Players capitalized with another Mobley three pointer and 16 points in six minutes from Danny Sanders (6'7''-SF-89, college: Jarvis Christian). Jackson returned to the game in the final minutes, but Carolina was unable to close the game into single digits and PrimeTime held on for a 131-117 win.

PrimeTime Players (12-2) will host the ECBL Championship game on Saturday face North Division champ Fayetteville Crossover (9-5). Game time in Fort Mill is scheduled for 5 PM (ET) at Bank Street Gym.
