MVM-Oroszlanyi Sportegylet E Lions (A Division) signed 27-year old Canadian guard Rudi Williams (188cm-86kg-1998, college: BYU). He started the season at Dinamo Bucuresti in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 12 games he had very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.4apg and 1.2spg. He was also named League Player of the Week. Last season during the summer, he played for Honey Badgers (Hamilton Honey Badgers (CEBL): 2 games: 2.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0spg) in Canada. Williams also played for another Canadian team Blackjacks (Ottawa Blackjacks (Canada-CEBL): 10 games: 6.7ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.5apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 33.3%, 3PT: 46.7%, FT: 83.3%, in July moved to Brampton Honey Badgers (CEBL): 2 games:
He is a very experienced player. Williams has also played professionally between Austria (Kapfenberg Bulls), Canada, and Hungary (Kormend).
In 2025, his team finished as the regular season runner-up in the CEBL Eastern Conference. In 2024, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Austrian League Honorable Mention.
Williams graduated from Brigham Young University in 2023 and is currently in his third season as a professional player. He has also played for Coastal Carolina College, University of Kansas State, and Northeast Oklahoma A&M College.
