Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Canadians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA). He led Denver Nuggets to a 3-point victory over the Detroit Pistons (39-38) 95-92 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Murray was MVP of the game. He recorded 33 points (!!!) and added 5 passes in 38 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Murray's third season in pro basketball. The Denver Nuggets have a solid 51-25 record this season. Murray has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.8apg, 2FGP: 47.5%, 3FGP: 36.6% and FT: 85.3% in 70 games he played so far. Murray played for the Canadian senior national team four years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U18 international point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor, currently plays in France). He could not help Boulazac Basket (13-11) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Chery's very good performance Boulazac Basket was defeated 86-78 on the road by the lower-ranked Le Mans (#13). He was the top scorer with 30 points. Chery also added 5 passes. It's Chery's first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Chery averages: 17.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.1apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 47.4%, 3FGP: 39.6% and FT: 94.0%(63-67). He played for the Canadian U18 national team in 2010.

   #3. The Canadian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Dwight Powell (211-91, college: Stanford, currently plays in NBA). Powell was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks (31-46) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Dallas Mavericks (31-46) lost 121-125 in Sacramento to the Kings. Powell had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 4 blocks in 32 minutes. Powell is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Mavericks' roster. Powell has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 69.0%(229-332), 3FGP: 30.8% and FT: 77.0% in 72 games. He is also a member of the Canadian senior national team.

   #4. Guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves (34-43) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Wiggins' very good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves (34-43) were defeated 118-109 in Philadelphia by the 76ers. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Wiggins also added 6 boards, handed out 5 passes and blocked 2 shots. Wiggins has been at the team for five years. This season he has very high stats. Wiggins averages: 17.9ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.4apg. He used to play for the Canadian national team back in 2015.

Former international point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a Los Angeles Clippers' victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (19-59) crushing them 132-108 in the NBA last Saturday. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 22 points and added 8 passes in 28 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. The Los Angeles Clippers have a solid 47-31 record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Gilgeous-Alexander has relatively solid stats: 10.6ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg in 78 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team three years ago.

Forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-93, college: Dayton, currently plays in Italy) led Banco di Srd to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Virtus Bologna (12-12) 90-72 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Pierre scored 15 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line). Banco di Sardegna Sassari (12-12) is placed ninth in the Serie A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Pierre's overall stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.6apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Canadian National Team roster.

International forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91, college: Carleton, currently plays in Italy) led Openjobmetis VA to a victory against the closely-ranked Umana Venezia (17-7) 87-79 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Scrubb scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes. Openjobmetis Varese (14-10) is placed fifth in the Serie A. Scrubb has reliable stats this year: 13.5ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.4spg in 24 games. He is also Canadian national team player.

Forward Melvin Ejim (201-91, college: Iowa St., currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to an Unics Kazan's victory against the league leader CSKA (19-4) 83-73 in the VTB United League last Monday. Ejim recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Unics Kazan (17-4) is placed second in the VTB United League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Ejim's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg and 6.3rpg. He plays currently for the Canadian national team.

   #9. International forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Unicaja Malaga (14-10) in their last game. Despite Wiltjer's good performance Unicaja Malaga was edged 72-70 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#9) Zaragoza. He was the top scorer with 13 points. Wiltjer also added 4 rebounds in only a mere 14 minutes. Wiltjer's stats this year are: 11.7ppg and 2.5rpg in 25 games. He is also in the roster of the Canadian national team.

Point guard Kevin Pangos (185-93, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a FC Barcelona's victory against one of league's weakest teams Buducnost (6-23) 95-83 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Pangos scored 8 points and added 3 assists. FC Barcelona Lassa (17-12) is placed fifth in the Euroleague. His team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Pangos' overall stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.3apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Canadian National Team roster.

   #11. International shooting guard Brady Heslip (188-90, college: Baylor, currently plays in Turkey) led Istanbul BBSK to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Sakarya BSB crushing them 117-72 in the Turkish BSL on Saturday night. Heslip was the best player in that game. He scored 25 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Heslip averaged so far 14.0ppg and 2.0rpg. He plays currently for the Canadian national team.

   #12. International power forward Kelly Olynyk (213-91, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Miami Heat (38-39) in their last game. Despite Olynyk's good performance the Miami Heat lost 105-110 at home to the Boston Celtics. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 40 minutes. Olynyk averaged so far 10.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.8apg in 73 games. He is also in the roster of the Canadian national team.

   #13. International center Joel Anthony (206-82, college: UNLV, currently plays in Liga Americas) helped his Argentinian team San Lorenzo win their game against the leader Paulistano 76-58 in the Liga Americas last Saturday. Anthony recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Anthony's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.1bpg. He is also Canadian national team player.

   #14. Former international center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in Japan) was the main contributor in a Hitachi Sunrockers' victory against the sixth-ranked Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo 89-85 in the Japanese B League on Sunday night. Sacre was the top player that evening. He recorded 27 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 34 minutes. Sacre has very impressive stats this year: 19.5ppg, 9.1rpg and 1.4apg in 52 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team back in 2015.

   #15. Former international power forward Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in China) couldn't help Sturgeons (26-20) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Nicholson's good performance Sturgeons were defeated 106-102 in Yingkou by the second-ranked Flying Leopards. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 12 rebounds. Nicholson also added 5 assists. This season Nicholson has very high stats. He averages: 27.0ppg, 8.9rpg and 2.0apg. Nicholson used to play for the Canadian national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Canadian passport but never been selected to any of Canadian national teams:

   #1. Dejan Kravic (211-F/C-90, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in Italy) could not help Virtus Bologna (12-12) in their last game. Despite Kravic's good performance Virtus Bologna was badly defeated 90-72 on the road by the higher-ranked (#9) Banco di Srd. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Kravic also added 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 24 minutes. Kravic averaged so far 10.8ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.3bpg in 24 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Canadian.

   #2. Kassius Robertson (191-G-94, college: Missouri, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help BBC Bayreuth (12-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance BBC Bayreuth lost 75-83 in Bremerhaven to the one of league's weakest teams (#17) Eisbaeren. Robertson was the top scorer with 19 points in 34 minutes. Robertson averaged so far 13.0ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.8apg in 25 games.

   #3. Keith Omoerah (194-G-92, college: Manitoba, currently plays in Ukraine) led Mykolaiv to an overtime victory against the closely-ranked Kyiv Basket (25-3) 103-94 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. Omoerah also added 4 assists and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. MBC Mykolaiv (6-6) is placed third in the Superleague. Omoerah averaged so far 13.4ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Canadian and Nigerian.

   #4. Dylan Ennis (187-PG-91, agency: BeoBasket, college: Oregon, currently plays in Spain) managed to help MoraBanc Andorra in a victory against the league outsider Gipuzkoa (5-19) 84-72 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night. Ennis recorded only 2 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 21 minutes. MoraBanc Andorra (14-12) is placed sixth in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Ennis averaged so far 14.1ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.8apg in 25 games. He has both Canadian and Jamaican nationalities.

   #5. Brandon Clarke (203-PF-96, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the the league outsider Gonzaga in their last game. Despite Clarke's very good performance the Gonzaga lost 69-75 in Lubbock to the Texas Tech University. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 12 rebounds. Clarke also added 3 assists and 2 blocks in 35 minutes. Clarke has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.1ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.9apg, 2.9bpg and 1.2spg in 36 games. Clarke is a naturalized American.

   #6. Brian Ofori (198-F-92, college: Regina, currently plays in Portugal) couldn't help Sampaense (13-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the sixth-placed Sampaense was crushed 93-72 at home by the leading Barreirense in the Group A. Ofori recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 4 blocks. Ofori averaged so far 12.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.3apg and 2.4bpg.

   #7. Jermaine Haley (201-G-97, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the W.Virginia (4-14) in their last game. Despite his good performance the W.Virginia was badly defeated 109-91 in Myrtle Beach by the Coastal Carolina University. Haley had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 3 steals in 35 minutes. This year Haley's overall stats are: 7.1ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.4apg in 36 games.

   #8. Aleksandar Danilovic (202-F-93, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Benfica crushing them 80-57 in the Portuguese LPB last Sunday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. Danilovic averaged so far 12.3ppg and 5.0rpg in 23 games. He also holds two passports: Canadian and Serbian.

   #9. Joe Rocca (193-G, college: Carleton, currently plays in Slovakia) couldn't help Nova Ves in their game against Inter Bratislava in the Slovakian SBL. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night Rocca was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Rocca averaged so far 13.9ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3apg.

   #10. Luka Zaharijevic (202-F-95, college: UBC, currently plays in Czech Republic) couldn't help NH Ostrava in their game against USK Praha in the Czech Republic NBL. Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Zaharijevic's overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.5apg.
