Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Canadians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former University international guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St., currently plays in South Korea). He led Anyang KGC to a surprising victory over the league leader Mobis Phoebus (35-11) 85-82 in the South Korean KBL in Sunday night's game. Edwards was MVP of the game. He scored 37 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Edwards' third season in pro basketball. Anyang KGC (20-26) is placed eighth in the KBL. Edwards has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.9apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 54.5%, 3FGP: 26.9% and FT: 72.5% in 28 games he played so far. Edwards played for the Canadian university national team six years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-94, agency: Interperformances, college: Carleton, currently plays in Holland). Kajami-Keane led Zwolle to a victory over the league outsider BA Limburg (3-21) crushing them 94-64 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday night. He was the best player in that game. Kajami-Keane scored 18 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals in 23 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Landstede Basketbal Zwolle (20-2) is placed second in the Eredivisie. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Kajami-Keane has very impressive stats this year: 18.1ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.0apg, 3.2spg, 2FGP: 54.4%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 80.8% in 21 games. He is in the roster of the Canadian senior national team.

   #3. The Canadian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international shooting guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse, currently plays in Turkey). Rautins contributed to Acibadem's victory against the third-ranked Darussafaka (16-4) 92-85 in a derby game in the Turkish BSL in Monday night's game. He scored 16 points and added 4 passes. Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (9-8) is placed seventh in the BSL. It's Rautins' first season with the team. Rautins has relatively good stats this year: 14.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 56.5%(13-23), 3FGP: 46.9%(67-143) and FT: 95.7%(22-23). He is a naturalized American. Rautins played for the Canadian national team six years ago.

Forward Melvin Ejim (201-91, college: Iowa St., currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Khimki (12-5) 73-58 in the VTB United League last Friday. He scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Unics Kazan (14-3) is placed second in the VTB United League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Ejim's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.1spg in nine games. He has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Nigerian. Ejim is also Canadian national team player.

Former international power forward Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in China) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Gold Lions (9-31) crushing them 135-112 in the Chinese CBA in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 31 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 3 assists in 36 minutes. Fujian Sturgeons (23-17) are placed seventh in the CBA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Nicholson has very impressive stats this year: 28.1ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.8apg in 37 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team two years ago.

   #6. Power forward Kelly Olynyk (213-91, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in NBA) could not help the Miami Heat (26-30) in their last game on Monday. Despite Olynyk's good performance the Miami Heat (26-30) was badly defeated 103-87 at home by the Denver Nuggets. He scored 11 points, had 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. This season Olynyk has relatively solid stats: 9.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.7apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Canadian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international power forward Owen Klassen (208-91, college: Acadia, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-10) in their last game. Despite Klassen's very good performance EnBW Ludwigsburg was edged 77-76 on the road by the much lower-ranked (#16) Mitteldeutscher BC. He scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was EnBW Ludwigsburg's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Klassen's total stats are: 8.9ppg and 6.3rpg in 17 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team two years ago.

Center Joel Anthony (206-82, college: UNLV, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Regatas Corrientes (12-7) 98-82 in the Argentinian La Liga in Monday night's game. Anthony scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. San Lorenzo de Almagra (12-1) is placed first in the La Liga. Anthony has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 5.0rpg. He plays currently for the Canadian national team.

   #9. Former international point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Phoenix Suns (11-48) crushing them 134-107 in the NBA last Wednesday. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. The Los Angeles Clippers have 32-27 record this season. Gilgeous-Alexander has reliable stats this year: 10.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg in 59 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team three years ago.

   #10. Swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Kelly Olynyk in the NBA last game. Murray contributed to an easy victory against the Miami Heat (26-30) 103-87. He scored 10 points, made 5 passes and 3 steals. This season Murray has very high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 4.2rpg and 5.0apg. Murray is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Canadian senior national team.

   #11. International forward Dwight Powell (211-91, college: Stanford, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Dallas Mavericks (26-31) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Dallas Mavericks were badly defeated 120-104 in Houston by the Rockets. Powell scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. Powell's stats this year are: 8.7ppg and 4.4rpg in 53 games. He plays currently for the Canadian national team.

   #12. International forward R.J. Barrett Jr. (201-0, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the North Carolina State University 94-78 in the NCAA last Saturday. Barrett Jr. recorded a triple-double by scoring 23 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and passing 10 assists (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line). This season Barrett Jr. has very high stats. He averages: 22.7ppg, 7.4rpg and 4.0apg. Barrett Jr. is also in the roster of the Canadian national team.

   #13. Former international guard Nemanja Mitrovic (197-90, college: Portland, currently plays in Mexico) couldn't help Santos in their game against Laguneros in the Mexican LNBP (second division), despite his very good performance on Friday night. He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Mitrovic also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 40 minutes. But his team lost 103-114. Mitrovic has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.6apg in 16 games. He used to play for the Canadian national team eight years ago.

   #14. International guard Philip Scrubb (191-92, college: Carleton, currently plays in VTB United League) couldn't help Zenit in their game against VEF Riga in the VTB United League. Scrubb scored 5 points and added 5 assists. His team was edged 102-101. Scrubb's stats this season are: 10.5ppg, 2.1rpg, 4.2apg and 1.1spg. He plays currently for the Canadian national team.

   #15. U18 international guard A.J. Lawson (201-0, currently studies in the States) contributed to S.Carolina's victory against the Texas A&M University 84-77 in the NCAA on Saturday night. He scored 23 points, had 7 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals. Lawson averaged so far 13.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg. He is also in the roster of the Canadian U18 national team.


The list of other players, who all have Canadian passport but never been selected to any of Canadian national teams:

   #1. Nicholas Wiggins (198-SF-91, college: Z*Orangeville A's, currently plays in Argentina) could not help Argentino (4-13) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance Argentino was defeated 89-79 on the road by the much higher-ranked Libertad Sunchales (#6). Wiggins was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Wiggins has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.1ppg and 4.2rpg.

   #2. Kassius Robertson (191-G-94, college: Missouri, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help BBC Bayreuth (9-10) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance BBC Bayreuth was defeated 97-90 in Crailsheim by the one of league's weakest teams Merlins (#17). Robertson was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 5 rebounds (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line). This season Robertson has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.6apg.

   #3. Experienced Billy McNutt (203-C/F-85, currently plays in Luxembourg) led Etzella to a victory over the fourth-ranked T71 (14-8) 94-84 in the Luxembourg Total League last Saturday. McNutt was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 13 rebounds in 40 minutes. BBC Etzella Ettelbruck (19-1) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. McNutt is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Etzella's roster. McNutt has very impressive stats this season: 23.4ppg, 11.9rpg, 2.2apg, 1.4bpg and 1.7spg in 19 games he played so far.

   #4. Jamal Williams Jamal (196-F-86, college: Regina, currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a Newcastle Eagles' victory against the ninth-ranked Glasgow Rocks (9-9) 104-98 in the British BBL in Friday night's game. Williams Jamal recorded 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 36 minutes. Newcastle Eagles Esh Group (13-7) is placed third in the BBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Williams Jamal has averaged so far 6.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.4apg in 20 games. He has a dual citizenship: Canadian and British.

   #5. Luguentz Dort (193-G-99, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the Arizona St. (4-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Dort's very good performance the Arizona St. was defeated 77-73 at home by the University of Colorado. He scored 21 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season Dort has very high stats. He averages: 16.1ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.5spg.

   #6. Tobias Howard (188-G, currently studies in the States) helped Towson win their game against the Drexel University 92-77 in the NCAA last Saturday. Howard scored 26 points (!!!), made 3 passes and 3 steals in 32 minutes. Howard averaged so far 10.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.7apg in 26 games.

   #7. Keith Omoerah (194-G-92, agency: Interperformances, college: Manitoba, currently plays in Ukraine) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Mykolaiv (6-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Mykolaiv was defeated 88-82 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Dnipro. Omoerah scored 11 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Omoerah averaged so far 12.6ppg, 6.7rpg, 3.2apg and 1.3spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Canadian and Nigerian.

   #8. Dejan Vasiljevic (190-G-97, is currently at the American university) helped Miami, FL edge the Clemson University 65-64 in the NCAA on Wednesday night. Vasiljevic scored 22 points in 37 minutes. Vasiljevic averaged so far 11.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.3apg in 25 games. He has both Canadian and Australian nationalities. Despite Vasiljevic's Canadian passport, he previously played for the Australian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Canadian team.

   #9. Kimbal Mackenzie (185-G-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Bucknell win their game against the Lehigh University 87-75 in the NCAA last Monday. Mackenzie recorded 27 points (!!!) and added 5 passes (made all of his seven free throws) in 36 minutes. Mackenzie has very impressive stats this year: 17.2ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.0apg in 26 games.

   #10. Isiaha Mike (203-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the one of league's weakest teams SMU in their game against the Temple University in the NCAA. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. Mike also added 3 assists. Mike averaged so far 12.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.9apg.
