The Cape Breton Capers have rose up the AUS men's basketball standings after sweeping the Memorial Sea-Hawks this weekend in two four-point games. The Capers topped the Sea-Hawks 81-77 on Saturday evening, with Osman Omar (190-G) leading Cape Breton with 26 points and four assists. Cape Breton then earned another 81-77 on Sunday afternoon, with Omar leading the Capers once again with 22 points and five assists, allowing Cape Breton to walk away with eight points on the weekend. The Saint Mary's Huskies continue to remain undefeated in men's basketball action, after picking up a huge four points in the varsity showdown against the Dalhousie Tigers at the Scotiabank Centre on Friday evening. It took an extra five minutes of overtime, but the Huskies came away with the 73-68 win, with Kemar Alleyne (188-G) leading the Huskies with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists to earn the Subway Player of the Game award. The Reds picked up four points in a 90-64 win over the UPEI Panthers on Saturday evening, with Ibrahima Doumbouya (198-PF) posting 19 points and 11 rebounds as the UNB Reds beat the UPEI Panthers 90-64 on Saturday night. Doumbouya was named Subway Player of the Game. The StFX X-Men topped the Acadia Axemen 89-75 in Wolfville on Saturday night, with StFX's Daniel Passley posting 21 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. For his impressive double-double, Passley was named the Subway Player of the Game in the four-point affair.
