Basket Globalcaja Quintanar (EBA) signed Canadian guard Samy Mohamed (183). He just graduated from University of Prince Edward Island. Mohamed has played there for the last three years.
Mohamed previously for Canadian team Thunderbirds.

A home opener and a home win! UKC defeated MSVU in a heated battle at the Kingdome that had the crowd on its feet. In the first quarter MSVU lead by three points 19-16. King's came back in the second quarter dropping 25 points to MSVU's 19. In the start of the fourth quarter it was all tied up in the Kingdome, but the King's offense sprung through the MSVU defense. In their first matchup in the young season, the Dalhousie Tigers hosted the StFX X-Men in basketball action at the Dalplex. A very strong first quarter for the Tigers set the tone for the game, as they came away with the 90-76 win.
