LEB Gold newcomer Real Canoe Madrid strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old Canadian-Nigerian power forward Matthew Atewe (206-111kg-94, agency: HMS). Atewe just graduated from Pepperdine (NCAA). In 28 games he recorded 6.8ppg and 6.0rpg last season.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
Atewe's team made it to the National Prep Championships Semifinals in 2012.
He represented Canada at the National Prep Championships Semifinals six years ago.

BRADY HESLIP Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi (BSL) landed 28-year old Canadian shooting guard Brady Heslip (188-82kg-90, college: Baylor). He started the season at Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in German BBL league. In 11 games he averaged 12.7ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.9apg this season.
