DWAYNE SMITH

Bucaneros de La Guaira (LPB) signed 29-year old Canadian international forward Dwayne Smith (198-103kg-89, college: G.Washington). He is a dual citizen owning also Jamaican passport. Smith moved there from played at San Carlos in TBS league in Dominican Republic, but was not approved after all. This season he played at River Lions in Canadian NBL Canada where in 41 TBS games he had 7.7ppg and 3.6rpg this season.
Smith was selected to NBL Canada All-Star Game back in 2014. He has been regularly called to Canadian Senior National Team since 2017.
Smith has played also professionally in Argentina (Atenas and Olimpo), Colombia (Academia) and Canada (Moncton Miracles, The Storm, On Point, West Hill and Pickering).
He attended George Washington University until 2013 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
Smith could be described: Very good rebounder for his size and plays bigger than 6-6.

Among other achievements Sutherland won NJCAA D1 Region V championship title in 2014. He received also All-NTJCAC 1st Team award back in 2014 at his college time. ADAM KLIE Giessen 46ers (BBL) signed 23-year old American guard Adam Klie (193-91kg-95, college: Cal-San Diego). He played last season at Niagara River Lions in Canadian NBL. In 44 NBL Canada games he had 6.1ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.3apg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Klie's college team won CCAA Tournament in 2017.
