Sarikas
C newcomer Neo Lixurio tabbed experienced 36-year old naturalized Canadian guard Alexandros Sarikas (195-81). He played most recently at EA Patron.
Part of previous (2016-17) season Sarikas spent at Trelleborg Basket Pirates (Basketettan) in league where in 8 games he averaged just 2.6ppg and 1.6rpg. He also played for Akrata Achaias (B). In 8 games he had only 2.5ppg and 1.5rpg.
Sarikas has played previously professionally also in Switzerland (Neuchatel) and Greece (Amyntas Dafnis, Kolossos H Hotels, Keravnos Aigio, KAP Agia Paraskevis and Enosi).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Neo Lixurio.
Sarikas is described as: Alexandros is a left handed combo guard shooter 2-3 spot and 1 if necessary.

A home opener and a home win! UKC defeated MSVU in a heated battle at the Kingdome that had the crowd on its feet. In the first quarter MSVU lead by three points 19-16. King's came back in the second quarter dropping 25 points to MSVU's 19. In the start of the fourth quarter it was all tied up in the Kingdome, but the King's offense sprung through the MSVU defense. Tigers defeat X-Men 90-76 - 5 days ago
In their first matchup in the young season, the Dalhousie Tigers hosted the StFX X-Men in basketball action at the Dalplex. A very strong first quarter for the Tigers set the tone for the game, as they came away with the 90-76 win. There was a strong presence in the paint on both ends of the floor to start the game for the Tigers, as Mike Shoveller (211-C) (Arnprior, ON) opened up with a block on one end, and a great move to get to the rim on the other.
