ADUT BULGAK

Nadezhda Orenburg (PBL) signed 25-year old Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: Florida State, agency: Ron Sport). She is a dual citizen owning also Kenyan passport. Bulgak currently plays at Chicago Sky (WNBA). The last season she played at Elitzur Ramla in Israeli D1 where in 30 games she was second best scorer with impressive 19.9ppg and averaged 11.4rpg (#5 in the league) and 1.6apg. Bulgak helped them to make it to the final. A very impressive season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League 1st Team and League Player of the Week.
Two years ago she was drafted by New York Liberty (WNBA) in first round (12th overall).
The former Florida State standoutis in her first season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she won NJCAA D1 championship title in 2013. Bulgak was also voted WBCA NJCAA Player of the Year back in 2014 at her college time.
Bulgak represented Canada at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) three years ago. Her team won Silver and her stats at that event were 6 games: 15.5ppg, Reb-2 (10.7rpg), FGP: 47.5%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 80.0%.
Bulgak has played previously professionally in Spain (IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad del Pais Vasco) and South Korea (S-Birds).

We bring you last week's top performances from Canadians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is former international forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92). She could not help Bourges (7-5) in their last game. The Winnipeg Wesmen took an early lead and never relinquished it on route to a 68-64 win over the Manitoba Bisons on Saturday afternoon at Investors Group Athletic Centre.
