The Regular Season in CEBL just started. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Fraser Valley B. (0-1) on the court of Guelph N. on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Guelph N. 106-103. Guelph N. is again looking forward to face Fraser Valley B. (#6) on the road in the next round. Fraser Valley B. will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Niagara. Niagara RL (1-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging Saskatchewan R. (1-1) 99-97 in the game for the second place. Forward Guillaume Boucard (198, college: Carleton) nailed 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Trae Bell-Haynes accounted for 18 points. American forward Tavrion Dawson (188, college: CS Northridge) came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds for Saskatchewan R. in the defeat. Niagara RL will play against Edmonton S. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Saskatchewan R. will play against Hamilton HB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of Guelph N. (1-1) against Saskatchewan R. (1-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Guelph N. was crushed by Saskatchewan R. in Saskatoon 130-110. Negus Webster-Chan fired 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Myck Kabongo produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 assists for lost side. Saskatchewan R. will meet at home Hamilton HB in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guelph N. will play against Fraser Valley B. and hope to win that game.
Very important is a home loss of Edmonton S. (1-1) against Hamilton HB (1-0) on Sunday night. Host Edmonton S. was crushed by Hamilton HB in Edmonton 107-83. Worth to mention a great performance of Justin Edwards who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamilton HB's next round opponent will be Saskatchewan R. in Saskatoon and it will be for sure the game of the week. Edmonton S. will play at home against Niagara RL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Guelph N. is again looking forward to face Fraser Valley B. (#6) on the road in the next round. Fraser Valley B. will have a break next round.

Niagara RL - Edmonton S. 105-118

Very significant was Edmonton S.'s (#1, 1-1) victory against Niagara RL (1-1) 118-105. Edmonton S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Niagara RL's 34 and made 30-of-38 free shots (78.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Niagara RL 45-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Niagara RL was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Xavier Moon (188, college: Morehead St., agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201, college: Alberta) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side forward Guillaume Boucard (198, college: Carleton) responded with 25 points and American guard Dorian Pinson (196, college: Lincoln Memorial) scored 14 points. Four Edmonton S. and five Niagara RL players scored in double figures. Edmonton S. will have a break next round. Niagara RL will play again on the road against Edmonton S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

DR Congolese-Canadian guard Myck Kabongo (190, college: Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 assists and Jamaican-Canadian guard Jamal Reynolds (193, college: Canisius) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
