The Bearcats, Blues and Falcons each record an important victory- November 26, 2025CBC Bearcats 58 Douglas Royals 47 In a rematch of last year’s semi-final, the Bearcats found a way to comeback to beat the visiting Royals after digging themselves into a first quarter hole. The Royals came out flying in the first frame and outscored the home side 21-12 and looked to be in control. The Bearcats had other ideas and their defence came alive the rest of the way and held the Royals to 29% from the field and under 10 points in each of the final three quarters. On their own offensive side, they shot 36% with their starters doing most of the damage as Kagari Tomita (5'9''-F/G) led all scorers with a game high 19 points. Elissa Vreugdenhil (6'1''-F) came off the bench to score eight points, but more importantly on the glass she was incredible pulling down 16 rebounds. The Bearcats (8-1) host the Royals (8-3) again on Saturday at 5:00pm. Capilano Blues 90 Okanagan Coyotes 56 The Blues got back into the win column with a convincing road win on Friday night in a lopsided victory in Kelowna. They outscored the Coyotes 25-18 in the first quarter and never looked back shooting 44% with 10 different scorers. Lucia Lopez recorded a game high 21 points, Barcha Hnizdilova (5'11''-F) had 17 and Maddy Coffin chipped in with 16 points in the paint. The Coyotes didn’t shoot the ball that badly at 37% but didn’t have much of a push back under the hoop. The PACWEST leading scorer Antonella Luraghi (5'3''-PG-2006) tallied 20 points on 7-13 shooting and knocked down three-three pointers. The Blues (6-3) and Coyotes (0-9) play in the rematch on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm. Langara Falcons 65 Camosun Chargers 62 The Falcons played a gritty road game on Friday night to score their first win of the season, holding off a late surge by the Chargers. Offensively the Falcons shot 33% and got to the free-throw line 25 times to help secure their win. Nadia Singh (6'1''-F) shot 50% and scored a game high 15 points to lead her club and Reegan Bond (5'9''-G) chipped in with 12 points. On the other side, the strange Chargers season continues outshooting another opponent yet can’t seem to find the win column. They shot 45% from the field led by Brooklyn Walbaum (5'6''-G) and Jayci Chase (G
) who each finished with 13 points. Kanda Diop came off the bench in this contest and added 10 points and 12 rebounds. Saturday afternoon the Falcons (1-8) have an opportunity to tie the Chargers (2-7) in the standings in the rematch at 1:00pm.
