30-November-2007
Arlington, TX - Benjamin Brinkley, League Owner and Commissioner, today announced the TBL, the official semi-pro basketball league of Texas and the fast-growing semi-professional basketball league in the country, will begin training camp tomorrow in Arlington, Texas. According to Brinkley, "We have been waiting for this moment - the front office is ready, the players are ready, and most importantly, the state of Texas is ready to embrace the Texas Basketball League. From day one, Texas Basketball League has understood the dynamics and potential of the explosive Dallas / Fort Worth market with the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium coming to Arlington in 2009, the Ballpark in Arlington, Six Flags over Texas, and surrounding cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie. The Texas Basketball League is unmatched when its comes to sponsorships, marketing, and advertisement in this area.”

Brinkley stated, "This is a dream come true for us. You can be sure that we'll create one of the most exciting sports-entertainment packages ever. The Dallas / Fort Worth market has a great sports-entertainment network and we have tapped into that network. Our standards and expectations are high. The people of North Texas will accept nothing less than first class operations unlike the Texas Pro basketball League. To be competitive, we need to be first class plus. And we are!"

Brinkley added, "And for starters, we have observed for the past several seasons that there hasn't been a real semi-pro basketball league in the state of Texas since the Southwest Basketball League in 2001. So, we invite the state of Texas to come and witness the beginning of the Texas Basketball League during the upcoming 2008 season - so that you can watch some really exciting, fun-filled, action packed professional basketball and some hot entertainment too. Give us a call."
