Griffins trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a26-11 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 98-99 at the end of the game. Potawatomi F. shot 29 for 46 from the free-throw line, while St.Louis G. only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded St.Louis G. 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. 34 personal fouls committed by St.Louis G. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Daylon Guy (183-1992, college: Tarleton St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Paul Harrison (206-1989, college: NGU) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Ranell Crossland (198-1995, college: EIU) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Marcus Latham (191-1998, college: Indianapolis) added 15 points in the effort for St.Louis G.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Griffins' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
