Rather expected game in Saskatoon where 10th ranked Bandits (5-11) were crushed by eighth ranked Rattlers (8-10) 103-82 on Wednesday. Rattlers made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who scored 22 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Finnish guard Trey Niemi (185-1998) chipped in 20 points. Five Rattlers players scored in double figures. American forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) produced 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American-Syrian guard Douglas Herring Jr (191-1987, college: Utica) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Bandits' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rattlers moved-up to seventh place. Bandits lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Rattlers will meet higher ranked Surge (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bandits will play against the league's second-placed Sea Bears (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
