Regular Season Round 17: Saskatchewan - Brampton 86-84

Important game to mention about took place in Saskatoon. Eighth ranked Rattlers (8-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging their close opponent Honey Badgers (6-10) 86-84 on Monday evening. Rattlers brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) nailed 39 points (!!!) for the winning side and guard Mike Nuga (188-1997, college: UNLV) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Rattlers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Zane Waterman (203-1995, college: Manhattan) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Honey Badgers in the defeat. Four Honey Badgers players scored in double figures. Rattlers moved-up to seventh place. Defending champion Honey Badgers dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Rattlers will play against higher ranked Surge (#5) in Calgary in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Honey Badgers will play on the road against Alliance (#8) in Montreal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
