Regular Season Round 15: Edmonton - Saskatchewan 85-86

There was an upset in Edmonton where higher ranked Stingers (7-9) were edged by tenth ranked Rattlers (6-9) 86-85 on Thursday. It was a great evening for American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Guard Mike Nuga (188-1997, college: UNLV) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and South Sudanese-Canadian Aher Uguak (201-1998, college: Loyola, IL) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Stingers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rattlers moved-up to eighth place. Loser Stingers keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Rattlers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stingers will play again against Rattlers (#8) in Saskatoon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
