Very expected game when 10th ranked Rattlers (4-8) lost to sixth ranked River Lions (6-6) in Saskatoon 75-90 on Sunday. River Lions shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when River Lions made 9 blocks. Center Eddie Ekiyor (206-1997, college: Carleton) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Antonio Davis (190-1996, college: Mid-Continent) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Five River Lions players scored in double figures. American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) came up with 29 points and 5 assists and guard Mike Nuga (188-1997, college: UNLV) added 17 points respectively for Rattlers in the defeat. Rattlers' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. River Lions moved-up to fifth place. Loser Rattlers stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. River Lions will meet at home Honey Badgers (#8) in the next round. Rattlers will play against the league's leader Blackjacks and hope to secure a win.
