Regular Season Round 1: Rockwall 7ers - Potawatomi F. 104-112

Rather predictable result when Fire defeated on the road 7ers 112-104 on Friday. Fire made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. Fire outrebounded 7ers 40-27 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Deon Lyle (196-1996, college: UTSA) fired 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mustapha Traore (203-1995, college: Monmouth, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Joe Powell (203-1994, college: Alaska) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Quinn Taylor (196-1998, college: St.Peter's) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five 7ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fire will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. 7ers will play against Skyline in Dallas and hope to win that game.
