Very significant was Coyotes' just 3-point road victory against Firebirds. Firebirds were very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Coyotes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Guard Robert Colon (187-1999, college: WSSU) nailed a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side and guard Quincy Washington (198-1990, college: Allen) accounted for 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Brock Young (181-1988, college: ECU) came up with 32 points and 5 assists and forward Matthew McClain (198-1996, college: OUAZ) added 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Firebirds in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
