Regular Season Round 4: Saskatchewan - Niagara 71-72
Date: July 4, 2021
Round 4 most important game was a victory of Niagara over bottom-ranked Saskatchewan 72-71 on Sunday night. Saskatchewan was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Javin DeLaurier (208-98, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Xavier Sneed (196-97, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Devonte Bandoo (190-0, college: Baylor) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Mali-Canadian guard Mambi Diawara (198-94, college: Calgary) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Niagara (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. It was Saskatchewan's fourth loss in a row. Defending champion still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
