WPBA top team -Blaze (5-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Royals (2-3) in Berkeley 82-76 . Blaze made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Royals turnovers. Guard Doris Jones (175-1998, college: UCSB) nailed 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Canadian-American guard Ameela Li (168-1997, college: Pacific) accounted for 23 points and 6 assists. American-Cambodian Mariah Cooks (185-1994, college: WSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Ashley Hart added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Royals in the defeat. Blaze have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Defending champion Royals keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Swish.
