Regular Season Round 7: Wolves - Valkyrie 123-59

WPBA top team - Wolves (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Valkyrie (0-7) in Alameda 123-59. Wolves dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Valkyrie's 12. They outrebounded Valkyrie 49-18 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Hannah Langhi (188, college: Cent Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Canadian-Jamaican guard Faatimah Amen-Ra (168-1991, college: Toronto) contributed with 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Wolves players scored in double figures. Guard Brooke Panfili (168, college: Sacramento St.) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Maggie Peressini (180) added 2 points in the effort for Valkyrie. Wolves maintains first place with 6-1 record. Valkyrie at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Wolves are looking forward to face Royals (#5) in Berkeley in the next round. Valkyrie will play at home against Riptide and hopes to get finally their first victory.
