Regular Season Round 2: Reign - Blaze 61-88

Another exciting game was played in Hayward between Blaze and Reign where Blaze crushed Reign on the road with 27-point difference 88-61. Strangely Reign outrebounded Blaze 49-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Doris Jones (175-1998, college: UCSB) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 4 assists. Forward Charlee Underwood (178-1985, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Blaze players scored in double figures. Power forward Aja Johnson (185, college: Nevada) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 24 rebounds and swingman Jessica Wilson added 24 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Reign. Blaze will play against Swish in Oakland in the next round. Reign will play against Valkyrie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
