Experienced American Tyshon Pickett (201-F-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Kitchener-Waterloo Titans and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 34-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for KW Titans in his team's victory, helping them to beat Lake Erie J. (#5, 2-12) 129-120. Titans maintains the 2nd position in BSL . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KW Titans will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. Pickett turned to be Titans' top player in his first season with the team. Bradley University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pickett is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.2ppg) and averages solid 60.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Noel Moffatt (196-F-1993) of league's best team Newfoundland Rogues. Moffatt impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Rogues cruised to a 124-116 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Lake Erie J. (#5, 2-12). Of course Newfoundland R. still keep the league's top spot. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Rogues managed to get this year. Moffatt is a newcomer at Newfoundland R. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Charlie Marquardt (193-G-1995) of top-ranked Sudbury Five. Marquardt got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He was a key player of Five, leading his team to a 105-100 win against #1 ranked Newfoundland R. in a game of the week. Sudbury F. confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Marquardt has a great season in BSL. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (best scorer). Marquardt attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
