45 points scored by 2023 year old American swingman Marquis Collins (203-G/F, college: UMSL) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Newfoundland Rogues beat the Reading Rebels 144 to 126. He also added 13 rebounds and 13 assists that evening. Collins is averaging almost 23 points and over 7 rebounds per game in the league. He was already playing professional basketball in the last year in II Canadian Leagues the NBL and CEBL.
Among many awards his college team won the GLVC regular season and then the Tournament in 2022. His team also made the NCAA Division II Sweet XV in 2022.
